Who we are

This site got its start in Boston, MA in 2006 when the life sciences company Praxeon decided to use its patent-pending search technology to deliver relevant, personalized health information to medical professionals and patients.

Praxeon is a healthcare startup founded in 2005 with over 50 years of collective experience in health care and life sciences. Our staff includes physicians, scientists, software developers and researchers.

What makes Curbside.MD unique?

We decided to build Curbside.MD after realizing the difficulties clinicians have in finding evidence based answers to their clinical dilemmas. Generic, non-specialized search engines don't always bring back the best material. There are also many on-line textbooks and reviews available, but even these can be difficult to access, search and may be incomplete. Curbside.MD fills the void by allowing for naturally phrased clinical questions from premier, evidence-based material.

Where are we headed?

Curbside.MD and MyDailyApple are free to the public. Eventually we will introduce targeted advertising. But the sponsored results will never, ever compromise the search algorithm or the presentation of results. The evidence is the evidence - and we remain committed to preserving the integrity of the search.
